  • What is physical therapy?

    For us, physical therapy is a movement-based treatment to help with pain relief, activity limitation, and recovery from injury. Whether that involves hands-on techniques, exercise prescription, or specific neuromuscular rehabilitation, we cross all spectrums to find the best fit for your goals.

  • How effective is physical therapy?

    In the vast majority of cases, physical therapy is considered extremely effective for appropriate conditions. Research suggests that physical therapy significantly improves rehabilitation, especially when manual therapy is combined with exercise components.

  • Is physical therapy the same as massage?

    Not in this clinic. While occasionally soft tissue techniques are warranted to help with optimizing the healing process, we believe that dedicated massage sessions are best left to the professionals. There is an excellent massage therapist in our facility and we are happy to make an introduction if needed.

  • What types of problems can physical therapy help?

    Physical therapy can help with chronic pain relief, healing after an injury or surgery, functional limitations and breaking through plateaus. If you’re limited physically, odds are we can help you conquer that limitation.

  • Why see a cash-based physical therapist?

    At Infinity PT, we feel that the insurance industry has put too many restrictions on the physical therapy profession. When operating outside the traditional networks, we can treat patients as we see fit, not as the insurance company mandates. No more worrying about getting a prescription, or asking for authorization. Be seen when you want to be seen. It’s your health care, after all. Use it how you want.

  • Can I still submit my receipts for reimbursement?

    In most cases, yes. We typically recommend checking with your insurance company to make sure you have out-of-network benefits, but very typically this is the case. And in most cases, our rates are close to, or even cheaper than, a lot of insurance copays or deductible payments. We will provide you with a superbill to submit with all the necessary information preprinted for your convenience.

  • What can I expect to happen in the initial assessment?

    We’ll go through a thorough evaluation of you problems and based on what we find, we’ll formulate a treatment protocol to help you best eliminate your restrictions and get you back to living your life. This is a very individualized process, but one that we’ve been fine tuning for over 12 years.

  • How do I know what type of physical therapy will help?

    We pride ourselves on finding the primary source of your dysfunction, and have studied multiple ways to help correct them. Patient comfort is our priority, so if you’re not comfortable with manipulation, then we’ll have another tool in the chest to still get you moving in the right direction.

  • Can I pay for my treatments by Credit Card?

    Absolutely. Our convenient online scheduling system will allow you to store a credit card on file and pay from any of your devices.

  • What clothes shall I bring for my physio appointment?

    We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to all your sessions. This will make it easier for the therapist to take you through various movements and exercises if need be.

  • Do I need a Doctor’s Referral?

    Not with us. One of the benefits of working out-of-network is being able to see patients for any diagnosis or body region without any strings attached. So feel free to come on by. We’ll be happy to work with you.
